  10. MainPrefs is a program to configure your system under AmigaOS; you are able
  11. to manage assigns, edit config files, start preference programs and change
  12. environment variables, offering a fast and easy to use platform that ist
  13. (not yet) included neither in OS 3.5 nor in 3.9.

  17. Changes since V2.1:
  18. - some bugs removed, tested under OS 3.9 BoingBag 1!
  19. - assigns can be added/removed to/from user-startup
  20. - variables can be added/removed
  21. - nicer images for showing / hiding programs
  22. - new tooltypes: specify the position and size of the window
  23.  
  24. Changes since V2.05:
  25. - programs and files are handled in one browser
  26. - programs can be grouped and started via Workbench, AREXX, CLI
  27. - also dawers can be inserted
  28. - assigns and variables are only loaded when needed
  29. - assigns can be reloaded and sorted by name or path
  30. - assigns can be "opened"
  31. - appwindow functionality: drop files in the programs/assigns/settings page
  32. - ASCII-filter, "drawers first" and reload possibility for variables
  33. - entering values changed: with programs and variables, RETURN will accept
  34.   the name/filename/value, to add a program click on "new" and then change
  35.   its properties
  36. - MainPrefs is now compatible with HappyENV (the variables are not copied
  37.   to ENV:, but the directories are created if you open them)
  38. - all variables can be edited with a text editor
  39. - new settings page with new option "save changes at exit"
  40. - improved asynchronous help

  42. Changes since V2.0:
  43. - removed several bugs (no more "dh1:log", late assigns are now shown correct,
  44.   "assign" with empty gadgets will no more reboot your amiga ... )
  45. - additional tooltypes "HELPFILE" and "PREFSFILE"
  46. - help key shows help, string gadgets can be cycled via TAB
  47. - Polnish, Hungarian, Spanish, French and Turkish catalog
